It took us a month but we finally released our Season One recap of As The Hamster Wheel Turns. It explains all of the characters and the story until this point. It also has a lot of good ol' fashion animated hamster fun and nudity, so check it out.

It finally happened. I heard the stories of GPU failures and red rings of deaths and fault codes, but I always said, "That couldn't happen to me, I take care of my 360, I don't let it get dusty, I only play it a few hours every week."
Well folks, it can and did happen. While playing GTA IV, my Xbox 360 started to get red and green artifacts all over the screen, then it went away, and then it came back. Maybe it needed a rest, so I stopped playing and came back the next day to watch Arrested Development. Lo, the red artifact returned for a few moments and then nothing. The GPU officially died, sending no signal out of the machine.
After my trip to Alaska and my birthday I'm going to buy a PS3. I was never a fanboy. I supported the Xbox 360 for what it had, hated it for what it didn't. For a long time the PS3 wasn't a viable option due to the limited amount of games but with Little Big Planet and MGS4, it is time to make the jump.
The XBox 360 still runs great if you don't care about visuals. Maybe I can learn to play GTA IV based solely on the sounds around me. I'll pretend Niko is blind and learn to cope with my disability.
Sigh.

Heard about Mirror's Edge yet? No? It combines our love of asian ladies, clean and bright colors, and parkour all into a potentially delicious first person video game. Sure, we can't say for sure yet whether the game play will kick ass or not, but we can hope and pray. The video game industry NEEDS a parkour game. Assasin's Creed whet our appetite and now we want the turkey.

In other news, we are still working to add support for Flash players that still require the EMBED tag, like GameTrailers. We are also bringing the Bootleg system back online for beloved members and news posting.

It's been a slow week as Jesse toils in Wisconsin, I look for a new job, and Seth starts work on the ATHWT Recap episode, so I thought I'd fill the void with one of our favorite cartoons of all time, Pinky and the Brain. In this brilliant piece, Brain reenacts almost word for word a famous Orson Welles hickup.

I was at the Workplay Theatre last night to go see Man Man and this band called Yeasayer opened for them. They are a 4-piece with some kick ass visuals (when playing live) and one spastic singer. I was fortunate to talk to him after show and he even sold me one of their tshirts and a cd. If they are playing near you, check them out and keep an eye on these badasses. Right now what I have for you is a video for their first single. It's a special treat for me because I'm an aerospace engineering major so hopefully I get to work with NASA and astronauts in the future.
